Sam lives and works at the petrol station of her father, who cannot live without her help due to his health. All her life, she has been longing to explore what lays beyond the place she grew up in. When the eccentric Lara shows up at the station asking for Sam's help to fix her motorcycle, an opportunity presents itself. Will Sam stay with her father or leave to follow her dreams?

This psychological drama, coming-of-age short film is Luca's final film of the MA in Television & Film at LUCA School of Arts, C-mine (Belgium).
Written, directed, shot, edited & coloured by Luca Schelfhout.

The film was nominated for the 'Wanatoeprijs 2024'. This contest makes a selection of the 10 best art students of Belgian province Limburg's art schools (higher education), with nominees of all disciplines from architecture to photography, typography and also film.
